Then, join the Wise Guys on their trip to Lotusland, where they will show you all about beneficial insects that can help your garden. Images from 27 1/2 Minutes Billy Goodnick and Owen Dell put on their suits to host “27 ½ Minutes,” a a News Magazine show packed with informative and fun-filled moments. Featured segments include the first installment of an ongoing look at the renovation of Santa Barbara's Firescape Garden, located at 2411 Stanwood Drive. Then, follow Owen and Billy as they track down a famous irrigation specialist in the "Celebrity Corner." In "Owen's Mailbag," Owen picks a gardening question from viewers and answers it on the air. You'll also get the "Plant Spotlight," which highlights a seasonal water-wise plant, and "A Moment with Randy Mooney."
Episode 5: Garden Maintenance in the Sustainability Zone
In this episode, hosts Billy Goodnick and Owen Dell will show you everything you need to know about garden maintenance. A new page is turned in the history of the Wise Guys as they explore the outer limits of “the Sustainability Zone.” A regular checkup on their sprinkler timer sends them back to the 1950s, years before the era of sustainable landscaping. They teach an uninformed gardener (and viewers) how to properly prune plants, how to deal with common pests, and how to water wisely. Whether it’s a whitefly infestation, an overgrown shrub, or a broken sprinkler head – the Wise Guys have the maintenance solution.

Episode 4: A Sustainable Garden on a DEADline
film noir Using the style of classic film noir movies, this episode features dark alleyways, dangerous drinks, and a femme fatale. When their beloved rubber chicken is kidnapped, Owen and Billy are forced to design a landscape for Mr. X, a mobster who wants his own Butchart Gardens in 24 hours. Using water-wise plants and sustainable landscaping techniques, they’ll demonstrate how to create a garden that not only looks like a million bucks, but also saves time, money, and resources. Viewers will learn how to do a site analysis, select plants, and do the basic drawings that will help them achieve the sustainable garden of their dreams.

Episode 3: Journey to the Center of the Dirt

In this episode, you'll learn that soil is much more than just dirt. After getting their first house call, the Wise Guys (along with their sidekick, Dirtrude the plastic chicken) use a magic soil probe that propels them on an underground adventure.
